The Period Box- Review

Hello Everyone! Sorry for not posting since the end of June. I have been really busy with two exams, a Biology ISA and an English essay. This meant I was focusing on revising, writing and preparing for them so simply did not have time to write any posts which is why I have neglected my blog and why there are lots of reviews set back. I also was not happy with how my blog looked, it just didn't look right. I wanted a black and white blog that was sharp and professional so I may re upload some older posts with better pictures. Today's post is on the Period Box, I was kindly sent this to review on my blog and as always I will be 100% honest! A huge thank you to Mags for sending me this. I hope you enjoy.

On  Period Box's website you can read all about their concept and what they do. Here is what it says on the website that sums up the box: ' PeriodBox is a premium monthly subscription service that bundles your choice of tampons and pads with hand-picked goodies and exquisite treats to cheer you up when you most need it.' They also send you your box five days before you are due on, this is really handy as you don't need to worry about buying supplies it will be delivered to your door! The monthly box retails for £12 a month with £2.95 P&P, this is an amazing deal because a lot of subscription boxes are overpriced and disappointing, however this box is great because what is in included is well worth the money. They also do a gift box which is £24.95 and free delivery as well as a first period kit for £29.95 perfect for a sister, a daughter or friend and both are free delivery. You decide if you want sanitary towels or tampons or even both. It is all up to you.

The box is packaged well and the design is really simplistic yet quirky. When you open up the tissue paper on top, your goodies are displayed. The sanitary towels are placed discreetly in a paper bag and have a really cute and funny sticker on to seal them up. Included is a list and description of all the treats you have in side.

Sass Intimate Mist and Cleanser:
Included is a discreet and small refreshing mist, ideal for your handbag. This can be used on the go. A cleanser is also included to keep things fresh. Writing about stuff like this makes me cringe, so I haven't gone into detail. You can click here to read about all of Sass's products in detail. This range is available to buy in Boots.

Chilli and Lime Extra Dark Chocolate
This has the most fiery kick ever! I can only handle mild spices so this wasn't for me but someone who likes spicy food enjoyed eating this. The company Seed and Bean has a variety of unique flavours.

Her Tea by Your Tea
This tea helps to reduce bloating, mood swings, lethargy and cranky skin. Perfect to drink when it is that time of the month.

Sweet Pocket Mirror
I adore this mirror, it has such a sweet design, there are several feathers on the back. It is also a convenient size for carrying around.

Flamingo Candle Melt
This smells really nice, it is subtle and leaves a lovely aroma.

When picking your sanitary towels or tampons with an array of absorbency, the brands to choose from include:
-Always
-Lil-Lets
-Cottons
-Tampax Pearl

Overall, this is one of my favourite period subscription boxes I have seen/tried. The items you receive in the box are really worth the price, everything is packaged beautifully and I think it would suit a range of ages. There is a box for everyone! If you want to subscribe for a box click here, you can cancel at anytime and follow them on Instagram here. I hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful as you can tell I really enjoyed reviewing this box. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram and Bloglovin. I am aiming to post once or twice a week so follow me to keep updated. Love, Liv xox
